FANTASY MAN

You know honey, I just can't get enough of you when you smile in the morning every single day while we sip coffee together and play our favorite music as the sun is rising. Your laughter fills the kitchen before you head off to the "real world" and the way you look back at me when you leave makes me lose my breath over and over again. That cologne you are wearing is divine and I imagine the smell of it all day long. Do you think of me the same way I think of you? I hope so.

The way you wear your hair with that nice dark button down shirt and artistic tie drives me mad in more ways then one. I thought about all of the poems you wrote for me in the past couple of weeks and how you made love to me the other night in front of the fire. You kindly took the time to put the kids to sleep and made me a cup of hot cocoa as we made our way to the living room to relax in front of the fireplace. I had to smile when I noticed that you turned off your iphone and it was still early in the evening. I waited for you to tell me about your day and stare into my eyes like you always do when you want me. Do you still want me? I know you do because I say so. This is my fantasy honey, not yours.

I thought about you yesterday when I thought of your taste in art and your love for old architecture. I wondered if you would like to go to a museum or two after you get home from a stressful day at work? I know you will say "yes" to anything I ask and you will be rewarded my darling for sure. Does that excite you? I know it does.

Those comments you make about the things that I write are perfect and I can't wait to hear more because you always sound so "loving" and sincere. Just my sort of man you are! I'm so glad you are right here in the moment when I really need you. You just dropped everything, even your meeting with a few CEO's about your new business idea and came right home to take me down to the beach so we can lay on the sand and look up at the stars and be together in the silence and not say a word. Bliss.

You know, it has been so long since you have been in a bad mood that I'm in love and can't wait to spend every day with you! Please tell me more about history and politics and all the things that I don't know enough about because you are so good at it. Oh yes, and please don't forget to bring me home a little pet dog as a gift when you get a chance? I really miss having a little dog that loves to sit on my lap all of the time. I can't wait. Really. You are so wonderful my darling!

I'm so excited that you have been playing some good music lately and it seems that you are picking my favorite songs instead of yours and this makes me so happy. I mean Bob Dylan is good to listen to once in a while, but how about a little George Harrison? I know you love his song when he sings "Something In The Way She Moves" just as much as I do and this I feel makes us "belong to eachother." Since you have decided to put it in your song list now I could not be happier. Ah yes......the flowers that you picked and left on the bed made me smile for days and I have now put them in a crystal vase in my special room. Thank you!

All of these wonderful surprises that you do for me are very much appreciated. I always think of the time you surprised me with front seats at a Sting concert on my birthday. It was the greatest night and we did not argue at all even while you were drinking. It was like a vacation we had long before we had kids. The best part is that you did not wake up in a bad mood after a very long drinking binge. Our morning started all over again and it was as wonderful as ever and the sun was rising and we laughed and sipped our coffee before we had to head out and take over the world! Just you and me in this together. I can't wait!

Sweetie! I can't believe you just made me lose my step and you attacked me in the elevator on the way to a meeting! Do you have to go? You look so hot in that very nice suit. Can't we just go get a room and continue where we left off? Now, I know you will not mention money or work and make me feel less important because you know how much it upsets me. Good, that is so nice of you! You are divine my dear. Oh yes! Thank you so much for the puppy from the shelter that you left for me last night! I have never been happier and I feel so special!
