VIRTUAL FANTASIES

Virtual Lovers, Science Fiction and Romance...
Well, here I am still jumping from various subjects trying to figure out if I can stay in one "nitch" in my writing. It seems that I have many interests and as you can see I keep writing about "whatever" I feel like in the moment. One thing is for sure, I do love making up strange fantasies in all forms. I was a huge fan of many of the famous science fiction writers when I was a child and some of the many movies I saw way back when had all sorts of odd stuff happen in them.
One movie in particular had people landing on another planet and human trees trying to capture them and they never did. The music effects when they got close was classic! I often thought of what would happen if they actually did get them? Would they turn into tree people also? Would they blend into the tree and take over the planet? I guess you can say that I have a very odd imagination! Anyway, I thought I would list a few of my "Fantasy Hubs." Some of you have read them and some have not. I'm always thankful for my "virtual friends" who have a great sense of humor!
Sci Fi And Romance By G. Page
I often like to imagine what the future will be like in the digital and virtual age. Will we even need people anymore? Will we need human lovers and friends? It seems that we spend so much time away from others now that everyone will eventually be replaced with some sort of object or lover in another form? Will we ever miss anyone or feel that "emotion" anymore when we have cell phones with video, web cams, texting and facebook? Will "normal" stuff or friends ever be enough anymore?
Well, I like to write about what I see in the future with my own sense of humor mixed in!

Good morning darling! It is so nice to see you looking the way you do as the sun shines down on you in my lovely kitchen. I must write a thank you letter to your parents who have a very strange last name.... - FANTASY MAN
You know honey, I just can't get enough of you when you smile in the morning every single day while we sip coffee together and play our favorite music as the sun is rising. Your laughter fills the kitchen... - THE MAN WITH TWO HEADS - Fantasy
"You know honey, last night I heard you whisper some very naughty things." I continued speaking to him as he sat at our kitchen table and I paced the room with excitement. I started to purr the way he likes...
Virtual Romance
- MY VIRTUAL BOYFRIEND
Honey, I don't know about you but what you wrote the other day had me "spinning." The little "comments" on my facebook page make me want to jump you! How do you feel about me? Hmmm? I was just wondering... - THE VIRTUAL BREAKUP
Honey, I'm sorry I didn't answer your text. Things have been a bit chaotic lately and life has been a sort of "whirlwind." I have a feeling you are mad at me because I didn't answer your text yesterday or...

Great hub! Texting, Facebook, and all the rest definitely put some new spins on romance!
Your sense of humor prevails................. :-D
Virtual friends are fun, but they will never replace the emotion or warmth...... that's what makes us human. The concept is great though.......... I've always been a pushover for both fantasy and science fiction, and there have been moments when I thought I've lived in both (ah, maybe it was actually a horror story; I think I lived with Mr. Hyde for a spell!), but we won't talk about that......... it's good to be living in the real world!
Loved the links..........

ARWEN NOTES YOUR GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. BUT THERE'S A BUG IN BEING A JITTER BUG WRITER, IF YOU WANT TO GET SERIOUS WITH THE WRITING BUSINESS AND GET AN AGENT OR PUBLISHER, MOST PROBABLY YOU"LL HAVE TO DEFINE YOUR BEST NICHE. PICK A CATEGORY WHERE YOU CAN BE FOUND EASILY BY INTERESTED READERS OR ELSE STAY "FREE LANCE" AND DANCE TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT. DAVID RUSSELL
You are sounding prophetic. LOL!
This is like seeing into the future. The VERY near future if i may say so.
In the days when science fiction started to catch peoples attention, little did we (well me really) know that it will be for real, in the not too distant future. Thought all it was is - fiction!
If and when it comes to a point that we need no more, the human interactions, we probably will just wilt away slowly.
But in all fairness, can we really resist these wonderful gadgets? I can't. Wish i had a robot to clean and dust my home.
And i still love the subjects you write about. Always interesting.
Great article G.
Well .. To be honest , Even the whole world is virtual . IF you think that which you can feel hear is real ..Well only as real as the chemical reaction which makes you think ..THat it is real . The really real reality we can never really feel or comprehend . We can ,only think with what we are able to see , hear , touch ,smell . And we infer , relate , and try to understand and control ..based on what we .. think we see , hear , touch smell ...
In reality , Everything is virtual . Even this life !
Interesting hub - I like the way your mind explores possibilities!
Hello Miss Gardner - what a lovely hub space you have!!!

Dear Virtual Agony Aunt
Please, please help me! I have been with my virtual boyfriend for three months and a week ago I discovered he has been seeing eight other female avatars behind my back on facebook and six of them are now pregnant with his virtual farm animals. One "woman" is expecting piglets, which means he will be the father of thirteen virtual offspring in total and no visible means of supporting them. He always wanted me to look my best and I spent hours choosing the right avatar getting the hair right by playing with my resolution settings and colour palette only to find he has been playing around with other virtual women. Why has he done this? All I ever wanted was a nice reliable piece of computer hardware to integrate my software with so that we could produce many orphaned files together.
Yours,
Hopeless from facebook
WOW - is this love at first byte? ;-)
